Saturday Snapshot- Pow Wow Regalia

A Pow Wow In Bonner's Ferry Idaho. Everyone In high spirits as they compete in the dances.

These fella's were quite colorful and Happy to pose for pictures. We took their address's so I could                  send them copies of the pictures.
This  little guy did a practice dance for us.
The beadwork on these ladies was stunning.
This Boy and his Uncle were quite funny. The boy entertained us with some magic tricks.
Even the tiniest of dancers had a great time! Isn't she a doll!

Beautiful regalia- I love the little one in the jingle dress. At one time they use to award the jingles for different markers in life or accomplishments. That is no longer the tradition- at least for the students in the school where I teach.
Each June we host a pow wow where there is lots of regalia and dancing- traditional, fancy and jingle. As well, we have Metis dancing and a round dance to close.
It is a grand celebration for a year's accomplishment.
Thanks for sharing the photos,
Regards,
Anna

Beautiful and I love these celebrations. Whenever we go to the state fair one of my favorites is the Six Nations area! Awesome!
